I'm using MAX314 CMOS analog switch, and it has pins labeled, COM1-4... which are analog signal common terminals.

Could someone explain to me what these pins are used for.

Thank you all,

Michael

You analogue signal connections are from the COM ones to the NC/NO ones. It only makes sense for them to be called "common" when it is a changeover switch but they call them common on all the switches.
