ic 5141 install problem on suse 10

there are errors when i cd cdrom1 and type ./SETUP.SH and Specify path of install directory

it said:

You must have write permissions to install directory
and all its subdirectories
and atleast 10 MB available disk
space in install directory.

i think space and the permissions is not the problem


some topic said: install the "ncompress­4.2.4­33.i386.rpm" package from the RH9 installation CDROM2 before install ic5141 on rh9 but i couldn't find this package in suse install cd

some body can help me ?

Check if softload has been installed in your $installdir. If you can find softload, just run the softload directly.

Using software for IC5033 I am got a similar error message however firstly I would like to say that you caould ignore that error message as long as softload is install to the directory that you had specified earlier.

If you really want to remove this message could try to edit SETUP.SH to remove "-b1" option. which I did to get rid of the error message to install softload.

Downgrade your tar program to 1.14 will solve your problem.

You can do this by installing your ic5141 on RH8 and moving the whole directory to SUSE10. However, you need to configure your environment but it 's not a big deal.
