i2c standard and fast mode

Hi,


There are two modes in I2C interface. Standard mode (100KHz) and Fast mode (400KHz).

Let us assume a micro controller can support either of the modes.

How do we fix the mode (register setting or hardware pin configuration) ?
 

setting the SSPADD register for the microcontroller . using this formula..100kHz=Fosc/4*(SSPADD+1)
 

Through the microcontroller registers. Which MCU are you using?
