Designing reset circuit

Dear all,

I want to design reset circuit which can send reset signal at every 6 hours one's and manual reset should also applicable in the circuit.

Please suggest me the ic for designing.

a) It should be non programmable single ic.

b) working in low voltage. at min 3v to max 12v.

Thanks in advance.

Designing reset circuit

why can't you use simple 6 pin PIC to do that? Otherwise it will be big counter...

Re: Designing reset circuit

Hi

Try a CD4060, 14 Stage Binary Counter/Divider and Oscillator.
You find a example circuit at **broken link removed**

Designing reset circuit

ic ne 555 for astable and cd 4017 to prolong the switching time.
ex. if astable produce 1 second period, then 4017 will prolong it 10X and if you want to prolong it, combine another 4017 and you find 100x time period
