Dear All!

I have to teach an undergrad course on VLSI design for first time. VLSI is a very big field and now i am confused where my course should focus. There are no particular guideline available from University. Kindly help me in course devlopment that is : Circuit layout or Digital Integrated circuits or Analog or FPGA or a mixture of all this? what should be course outline and textbook, reference books? what EDA tools should be used. Kindly help !

Re: VLSI course outline

Hi,
Several universities (in US, India etc.) put their course details online. A quick search revealed:

**broken link removed**

You need to choose the area of focus - for a 3 credit course, for an under grad, I recommend you keep it broader than deeper. i.e. cover as many areas of VLSI as possible than going deep into one area (that will be a M.S/M.Tech VLSI course).

Good Luck
