Hi, I am workig on a project that im going to wire together LEDs to be mounted on a display base that I'm gonna make. Now depending on the size of the item im going to need to wire in 6 LEDs or 9 LEDs. Ive been trying to reaearch and dont quite understand what i need in forms of resistors, power supply, etc. If anyone can help me with what size of resisters and power supply im gonna need. Im look for a high brightness LED if that matters. I appreciate everyones time and assistance with think. Thank you all again!

You could found all information on that link

it computes all the data for you.
You need only to put the desire current as is on led datasheet.

The first parameter is the DC voltage you have available from battery , power supply or anything else.
Second question is simple. You use the typically values. Only if the value of the resistor or number of led you like to use does not exist you put the maximum just to know if your led will be damaged. Example. 12volt power supply and 3 led of 3.3volt typical and 3.6volt maximum.
You calculate 3x3.3 = 9.9volt at leds.
12-9.9=2.1 so i am ok.
if led has forward current of 10mA i should have a 2.1volt /0.001 Amps=2100 ohm => 2.2K which is a normal
but i like to use smaller because i do not have that value in my component box.
So i recalculate
3*3.6=10.8
12-10.8=1.2
1.2/0.001=1200=>1.2K
so any value from 1.2K-2.2K will work.
