I have problem with pic16f874A programing

Hello,
I have tried to program pic16f874A with propic but I couldn`t. I also try to use ic-prog and picall software, but again with no succeed. :? Does anybody meet such problem and can help me with any ideas?

Hi,

Check these,

Do you choose the right device on the programmer 16f874A not 16f874.
Are you using Low Voltage Programming (using RB3/PGM) or ...
...is your programming voltage correct (MCLR/VPP=13.5V) .

An then a quick look on the datasheet, if you've not already done it :wink:

i think you must not have configured your programmer correctly according to the hardware design.you must check that.
i faced the similar problem once.

i've been searching whole day for a working EPIC PLUS PROGRAMMER Circuit+software. can anyone help me with this? IM VERY NEW TO pic programming. just got my own pic16f84a chip today. desprately need all the help that i can get.

Hi, I have faced this problem too when i program with my ICD2.
pls note that u have to disable ur debugger mode in order to program...
Make sure ur Vpp is 13.5 V .
