I'm running e2 studio version 3.1.0.24. I used to be able to set breakpoints without any problem.

Today, I can't set a breakpoint. I double click on a line and nothing happens.

FYI, when e2 studio is closed, there is a process running e2studio.exe *32

e2studio.exe is not closing properly. You can manually end task and restart the application and try. Similar thing happens with MPLAB X IDE on my machine.

I closed e2 studio from task manager and then opened it. Still cannot insert breakpoint ?

I shutdown my computer and restarted. Now I can put breakpoints in one file but not other files.

Is this the Renesas IDE?

If so, have you successfully added the source files in question officially to the current project?

If not, try right clicking and selecting, "Add File to Project."

Yes, it's Renesas project. Yes, I have successfully added the source files.

Now, in my e2studio debugger I cannot set breakpoints anywhere but my application runs fine.

From main menu, I go to Window - Show View - Disassembly. When the Disassembly window opens, debugger stops responding.
