I can find echnology file menu in ICFB of IC5033

some problem in ic5033

hi
I have some problem.
in the icfb's main window, I cannot find "technology file" pull-down menu. except this, others such as File, Tools, Option, and Help Menu, are shown.
how can I solve this?.
it is installed on redhat7.3.

It may be in Tools or Option menu.
Try to find.

I can find technology file manager under Tools: menu.

but, the icfb's main window have 5 pull down menus, " File, Tools, option , Technology file, and Help" in general.
but in my icfb, I can't find "Technology file" menu.

I think it is very serious problem under ic5033 installation.
what 's wrong ?.

Why you think it as serious problem. Before 5.0 it was Tecnology file menu in main window. But now they move it into Tools menu. Everything you did with technology file before you can do now as well. What is the problem?

I have gds importing problem.
so I guess that the problem is occured by not installing "Technolgy file" menu.

my problem is as fallows.
I make library with Tech File supplied by Foundry.
the tech file includes the layer definition of layout file.
atfter making library, I import gds files which is exported from agilent ads. but layout is not imported its exact layer.
for example, the stream layer definition is same . but cadence layer definition is different from tech file definition. And Cadence purpose of the layer is not drawing , but P0(???)

please tell me how to solve this.

1. How to make the pull down menu "Technology File" appears on CIWs of IC50/IC5033.
Firstly,
cd $CDS_HOME/tools.lnx86/dfII/etc/tools/menus
vi ciw.menus
find a string named "ciwMenuList"
see a line ";ciwTechFilePulldown" 4 lines next the "ciwMenuList"
take out the semicolon to be "ciwTechFilePulldown"
Remember to save this file....
Final,
execute icfb/layout/... and you will see....

2. Since you have a ready export GDSII, did you use the right *.tf as your stream in tech. file in Virtu0s0??
Try an easy way to stream in GDS, make a new directory named xxx, put your gds and *.tf and display.drf there.
open up layoutPlus and done with gds stream in under directory xxx.
