Hi,

i have done a transmission line simulation. The .tr file generated was 6GB,so iam not able to open in CSCOPE.

Can any one suggest how to view the .tr file with large size?

Thanks

You will not be able to open the .tr file using cscope if it is more > 2Gb size. Try to avoid using wild card (.print v(*)) in your control file. This will create bigger output file. Instead try node/hierachy printing. If you are running transient analysis, try not to make time steps too small.

custom waveview ( synopsys) is a waveform viewer that don't have any limitation in sizes of waveform..
you can even open 50GB files without any issue...
supports more than 50 different formats...

by default user don't control time steps size in hspice. its all automated in hspice.
you can use wdf format instead of tr0 , that will save disk space
