hspice schematic

To all,

I suffer from the sehematic entry for Hspice
Can anyone give me some opinion about the best schematic viewer for Hspice? It will help me a lot

Thanks!!

schematic editor for hspice

I have used Tanner SEdit. It is fine for moderate level designs.

hspice schematic editor

I have tried Cohesoin6, but it looks a bit clumsy for me. Try ViewDraw7.53. It serves me well.

hspice viewer

try $ynop$y$ CosmosSE , its a good tool to draw and veiw hspice schmatic

You can use also OrCAD -- use CaptureCIS and NOT Schematic !!!

First draw the schematic and then make the netlist (Pspice tab)
The project must be with "Analog or Mixed A/D" and not "Schematic" !!!

After you finish the schematic you make the netlist (read the orcad user guide).
the netlist is in a file like this "MyProject-SCHEMATIC1.net"

Then you make the input file for hspice. Like this:

*****************************************************
* MyProject in HSPICE (MyHSPICE_file.sp)
.option .....
.LIB UMC_MMC_18u18v.txt L18U18V_TT
.AC ......
.TRAN ........
** and now include the path to the pspice netlist file
.inc ../netlist/MyProject-SCHEMATIC1.net
.PRINT .......
.end
******************************************************

But be carefully because you must use only the symbols from the "BREAK" lib , from OrCAD. And you must change the default name of the symbol from "MbreakN" (for NMOS) in to the name used by your lib file (UMC_MMC_18u18v.txt )

And then when you make a modification of your schematic you must make again the netlist.
The output file of HSPICE can be view with AvantWaves or any other tool (like SpiceExplorer)

hspice+schematic

MicroCap? Who knows it ?

spice schematic editor

Why not use c@dence composer?

avantwave manual 2003

MicroCAP 7 is one of the best progs in moderate complexity. Try to draw your schematic and then from file menu, execute Translate [/b] command to convert your circuit to spice(2G) file. Also you may need to add your favorite library. Now it is ready!

hspice schematics

ADS can see the HSPICE schematic, but the complex schematic shows unorderly.

You may try Cosmos SE. It comes with CSketch - Schematic editor, Cosmos Guide- Simulation enviroment, and Cosmos Scope as a waveform viewer.

Since that they are from the same company as HSpice (avanti), they were lock together nicely. The Guide will lhelp you to generate the HSpice simulation in GUI form.

On the other hand, Scope enable you to cross prob your schematic design and the waveform.

anybody tried this, it's also from syn0p0sys, i wonder whether it can generate the spice netlist.

anyway, seems it's not a popular software
