How to use the sound card as a A/D converter?

I want to use the sound plate as a converter a/d, but this necessary to know as I can communicate with it and as programing to obtain to have access the data and to store in the PC.You can help me?

Choose a programming language.

To do this real time on windows with a language like visual basic or visual c you can use the waveInOpen api or directX.

There have been a few threads in this forum about sound processing with matlab.

Depending on your application you might find it easier to record .wav files and write a program that takes in a .wav file.

access sound card

I am developing a research and I need to use the
sound card as a converter A/D. Therefore I ask for
its aid. As I will be able to have access the sound
card, to receive the data and to store in the computer
using some programming language as Delphi, C or C++.
Remembering that I am that I go to develop solftware
that this will go to execute everything. I wait that
it can help me. Thanks for its attention.
