How to use the parallel and series function/command in Matlab?

Hi guys I am trying to compute the transfer function for block diagrams in series and parallel USING MATLAB and I will like to know how to use the parallel and series function/command.

this is the wrong section, Software problems means the problems you are facing with software installation or working or errors/bugs, i guess.

and to ur question, ? the tf(b,a) function in matlab cannot be used in your case... as its pretty straightforward to construct the TF from the Num and Den coefficients.

I guess, you can construct the block diagram in Simulink and calculate the total transfer function.

In case, you dont want to do that, then may be u can write a function, say, parallel(a,b) and then you can use symbolic calculations to get the result as ab/(a+b) and perform this over loop to get the whole transfer function. worth a try.
