How to use serial communication with pic?

Hi,

Did you have a course to learn how to use serial communication with pic?

hi there is a book "Pic serial communication" by Roger Stevens that cover almost all parts of communication but this book is not yet avaible on the forum, there are meny books on forum that cover what are you looking for but only a part of it so search forum and you will find books.

hi recently i am doing a project which use the pic16f877a to communicate with the nokia gsm cellphone .
so far the project is not yet complete. in programming the pic i am using picbasic pro compiler there are some built-in function that could make serial communicate little bit easy comparing to use assembly to write the soucre code.

i do know what is your specific project for using serial communication just post it on this website so we could learn together.

Hi,

Are you using FBUS or MBUS on communicating with the phone, I am under in this development also, I will start coding maybe next week.

Hi,

Our projects are for hobby, but can be applied to professional applications if there will be a need.

A lot of information on interfacing PIC trough serial port you will find here in this forum.
Use Search button and type: " PIC AND serial "
