how to run this EDA on Solaris x86 machine ?

sun solaris version ..

who use SUN x86 server

I think many EDA tools cannot support solaris x86. But you can use sun java desktop system that can support most EDAtools.

Re: who use SUN x86 server

the difference of eda tools support platform is sparc and x86 cpu, not solaris .

Sun Java desktop system is based on suse enterprise linux 8.1(kernel 2.4.19). Most EDAtools can run very well on it.(and suse 9.0 pro)

Re: who use SUN x86 server

The Solaris 10 release for SUN x86 will support Linux application. The Solaris 10 for x86 is free. The current SUN x86 uses Solaris 8/9 and could run Linux. It is no way to run EDA.
