I want to test RF preamplifier for return loss. I can get excess to one sweep generator with monitor & external return loss bridge.
Guide me how to do the testing?

Re: Return loss Bridge

If you have vector or scalar network analyzer, probably no probelm for testing.

If you test amp by external return loss bridge, you must have additional equipments.

There are spectrum analyzer or power meter, calibration kit and sweep generator.

Do you have these?

Re: Return loss Bridge

i hv sweep generator with monitor. Return loss bridge with calibration kit.
I can get access to vector network analyzer.
Now guide me further.

Re: Return loss Bridge

Connect a cable to the VNA, calibrate the setup with a calibration kit (1-port calibration is fine), and measure the S11 of the amplifier.
