Hello,

is it possible to terminate HSPICE simulation if the simulation time exceeds certain amount of time? e.g. too long simulation time in transient simulation with specific timestep

In general, by changing simulation parameters and/or selecting no 'ideal' devices, it can prevent simulation from fail. I'm unaware about HSPICE, but at least with another derivative (e.g LTspice) there is an option to stop simulation if a steady state is detected, AFAIK it is the closest from a timeout feature that can be achieved.
