How to start with RTOS for 8051?

hi everybody,

im just a newbie in embedded system. im working with 8051 uc. can any one
suggest how i can start with RTOS . is there any rtos for 8051.
plz suggest

There is an RTOS for the 8051 called RTX-Tiny it is included with the full version of keil compiler but not with the demo version.

Another one is Salvo and there is a free Salvo Light for the 8051 which I think is limited to 3 tasks:

I would try either Atmel website or any semiconductor manufacturer site and look up their app notes with regard to 8051.

8051 rtos

keil rtx51 tiny is very good rtos for small projects. pk 51 pack include this library. it runs nearly 2kb of rom an 50 bytes of ram.
if you want to use full featured rtos you have to by rtx51 full. it is discrete product. but supports a lotof features like mailboxes, semapores etc..

The I*A*R C compiler have little weight RTo´s for 8051 standart family, check the version 5.52B or old for more information.
