COLD FIRE

Can anybody advice how to start with Cold Fire - Motorola MCU.
- EVB (Low cost)
- Compiler
- etc.
Thanks

GNU

This free way:
GNU Linux Compiler
Home Made Board
Home Made BDM For programming and debugging.

Or look at Metrowerks.....

Have a look over at w w w.openh.org ... there were some guys messing with Coldfire dev boards ... I thinks it is called the "Toast" board....

COLD FIRE

Please if anybody can post schematics for BDM programmer/debugger
for COLD FIRE micros.
Thanks

Motorola Coldfire BDM software

I read that the GNU Debugger can be used, but I haven't found any documentation specifically applicable to Coldfire development, does anyone have software for Windows that can be used with the BDM pod for use with Motorola Coldfire processors.

Re: COLD FIRE

Jayson,

I just looked around lab and found old P&E microcomputer Systems CD with PROGCFW and UNITCF on it for win95/NT. A bit old but may help you out. I think it is functional demo software that may do what you need.

Re: COLD FIRE

I am using WinIDEA with CodeWarrior integrated, IC3000 debugger from isystems and running on MQX RTOS on the ColdFire 5329

Re: COLD FIRE

Hi,

This is a replacement for BDM from PE from freescale
It uses, obviously, other microcontrollers from freescale.

Enjoy

PS: You can find this file at freescale site (forum)
