ADC Design

Hi to all,
I want to design ADC.
How do I start? Is using simulink for system level simulation necessary?

Re: ADC Design

1. Read Books: Analog Integrated Circuits Design by David & Martin.Get fundamental understanding of ADC.
2. Select ADC type, and find some papers on IEEE JSSC to try reference design.

System level simulation using Simulink or Verilog-A is necessary.

ADC Design

OK
Analog Integrated Circuits Design by David & Martin is the Bibble of the Anolog design.

Re: ADC Design

I think simulink system level simulation is necessary. It will help you to understand the theory about the ADC.

Re: ADC Design

I think you can try the simple structure of adc at the begining, such as flash adc,so you can understand the advanced structure well.

Re: ADC Design

u can start of by going through CMOS data Converters for communications.....but if u can actually decide on the specs of ADC then the first step would be to narrow down to a specific architecture....

ADC Design

System level simulation can help you with the architecture study.

But at the circuit level, you should consider many tradeoffs which based on the basic circuit knowledge.

I do not think so. You can download all the slides, homeworks and solutions freely. It's quit good.

ADC Design

Any way. Good a website for mix signal designer
