How to simulate faulty circuit

okay, so just got Proteus 8 and trying some simulations.

So, I connected 20mA Led to 220V power supply. In real word this wold be catastrophic for LED but in Proteus it works. Is there a way to simulate breakdown or get error message when your circuit is not going to work

Proteus does have fuses, including an animated fuse so you can see it blow up. You could put a suitably rated fuse in series with the LED.
 

Tina TI nags all the time with error messages :), and you can set some components to open or short, not sure if it always shows what will work or not though. Maybe any of the Spice variations also, as it is the same/ a similar platform.
