How to search in GPS data file and display placename?

HI everybody,

i have a file with lattitude,longitud,placename with comma delimited.From Gps i will be getting current lattitude ,longitude .i have to compare current with values in file and i have to display out place name.can anybody give idea how to search in file and to display placename. prsently iam trying it out in system.same file i have to load in to serial flash memory with SPI .contoller will be taking lattitude ,longitude values.i have compare values with values stored in serial flash memory.
