there is no shortcut to learn a toolbox. read the documentation PDFs that come along with the matlab package!

First of all I want to say that your question is not clear as it's impossible to learn all matlab tools so specify the one you want to know... although to the best of my knowledge matlab guide sufficient for this purpose and more over you can take the help of demos and the Matlab file exchange......

You just need to have a look at the mahtworks website, manual for every toolbox is posted there and you can download it in either a PDF or HTML form.

There may not have the version you have, but I am sure it would help you a lot!
