Current reference

How can I replace the resistor in the schematics below given a constant gm circuit already?

Thanks

Re: Current reference

I'm not sure about function of ref2 figure.
As for ref one, there is no way you can drop the resistor while keeping its constant gm nature.
Actually, resistor is its gm reference, you need a reference of some sort, right?

Current reference

I think the current would vary greatly with the resistor changed.

Re: Current reference

Hello!

If you need current reference: TI REF200

Regards!

Re: Current reference

I assume this is a current reference on chip. Then usualy the R is there to compensate the temperature tracking. There are ways to do so but it is a bit different architecture of CS
