I use photodiode to detect the fiber sensors, but the noise is big ,so i can't detect the peek of the pulse ,who knows how to reduce the photodiode detect noise??
thank you!

Normally the noise like fliker noise operate at low frequency, try implement the bandpass filter to eliminate unwanted noise.

Re: photodiode!

The photodiode usually comes in a package that allows good fitting and alignment of fibre to diode. Your experience is rather unusual.

You can use a waveguide filter, if you know the band of the light frequencies to pass.
Another possible reason is perhaps due to the mode used and dispersion in the fibre.

Re: photodiode!

Is the noise present when the diode is covered over with black material? Does the noise rise when a signal is present? This last item is called RIN or relative intensity noise. Use another type of detector diode if this is the case.
