How to program msp430 via JTAG to put serial number/ID?

hello
anybody there know how i can program msp430 via JTAG to put in serialnumber or an ID in an already pre-programmed msp430 microcontroller. All the programmers out there do that at once. What i am looking for is programming the project code and then after testing the firmware, i wanted to put in the ID as a byte in the flash via the JTAG port without erasing any other part of the falsh...


Any clues guys????
Any help is appreciated
