define in bios to be turned off after x min inactivity
dont push the reset button if you are not stuck
shut down the computer via the appropriate menu
dont move the computer during its work
make regular backups
try to add a fan pointing to the disk to keep it cooler
clean the pc inside with a vacuum cleaner every some months
