How to operate the LM335?

Does anyone know how to operate the LM335 , precise termperature sensor
i went through the datasheet but still i am unable to figure out what is its output
can somebody tell me how to use this IC ??

In National Datasheet on pag. 2 has the scheme for all types of package, with PIN description. And in others pags has examples applications...

What exactly do you need?

I want to make a thermometer using ATmega8 and LM335
I want know what type of output one get from LM335
i have seen that it gives 10mV per degrees .
is it correct ?
