sphere rcs

hi;

I would like to measure the RCS of sphere by using HFSSv11...

I have two problem... first one is that how I should excitate the structure...
second one is that how can I get RCS values for diffferent theta...
pics are below;

the pic will be like this in hfss

thank you very much for your helps, already

be well...

rcs of a sphere

hi wandering heart;

himmm...

u mean that I should define y as a plane wave surface???

You don't select any geometry, and then select HFSS / Excitations / Assign / Incident Wave / Plane Wave.

Since the sphere problem is completely symmetric, you don't need to look at RCS versus angle. It is the same for every angle. It only varies with sphere size in terms of number of wavelengths.

can u please help i dont know how 2 simulate the RCS of dielectric sphere er=2.2 r=0.1mm and zero incident angle please reply
