Don't know if this would be useful or not to any beginners here, but I just wrote a tutorial on creating vents (for fans/general heat dissipation) in electronic project cases.

See, I'm kind of a cheap guy, and I buy those cheap Radio Shack project cases that don't have vents or holes (for getting rid of heat), so I came up with this quick technique to create my own. Also works with metal (except the pin vise part-just switch to a power drill instead).

Yeah, I checked your link. Nicely done. I use a similar method and use exclusively brushless CPU fans. Works great and hardly consume any power.

I'm not up on fan terminology-why is brushless important (consumes less power as you said or are there another reasons?)

I mainly use a single tool for all my hobby projects' mounting and venting requirements - DREMEL (or similar device)
