hi
i want to know how to make the cable in the image
i searched inorder to buy it
but i didnot find it in any store

so i want to make it
TN_vga_9m_to_15m_cable.jpg

i have two cables one with 15 pins at each side
and the other with 9 pin at each side
i want to make as in the picture above
how to connect the wires..color etc

in my 9pin dsub cable i only see 8 wires !!!
blue green yellow brown black orange red and violet and the shielded

in the second cable (15 pin)
there is 10 wires
blue green yellow brown black orange red and violet white an d light gray !!!

Do not rely on wire colors. They are not always significant. You must identify pin positions.

As KJ6EAD said, don't go by number of wire.

Take a multimeter and identify which pins are you interested in, and proceed accordingly.

Hope this helps

SO CAN I CONNECT PINS AS THIS PICTURE
DB9-HD15-Diagram.gif

BUT I HAVE 8 WIRES ONLY IN THE CABLE !

My initial guess is two ground on Pin 1 & 2 share the same physical wire which explains why you've 8 wire instead of 9.

Use multimeter to cross verify it.

so i must take a wire at a time from each cable and test it with multimeter

about the wire that shared between pin 1 & 2
when i finished testing shall i connect the shared wire with the pins 6 ,7 together in ( 15 male)..all three together or what

Yes, that right. If ground share (pin 1 & 2) the same wire then pin 6 & 7 will be connected together.
