How to make a circuit compatible with both chips running at 1.8v and 2.2v?

Hello

I have a small issue thinking about this one. Presently I am using a Maxim chip X which is running at 1.8V. But there is a new part Y available later and I want the circuit to be compatible to that one as well. It will run on 2.2V. Can I make the circuit compatible to both using 0ohm jumpers?
