How to INTERFACE CAMERA WITH MATLAB?

I am currently stuck at this point while working on a matlab project, in which i am capturing images/photos with a DIGITAL CAMERA and then comparing the image with a reference image to check the correctness of that image...

So please suggest me a method to interface camera with MATLAB and then to take image from camera directly into MATLAB interface to start processing

you can use the vfm toolbox of matlab check the folowing link and download it. there is function for image capture.
