mouse programming

How to initialize serial mouse without using operating system functions and without using Bios functions. I search for asm code mouse driver, independant operating systems.
Please help!

Take a look to this two sources.
They are for 8051 core.

As far as I know the serial mouse doesn't need to be initialized,
but you will probably need to reset it (by pulling RTS down for some time).
After that it should return its signature.
