Hi all,

I am optimizing a LDO with 5v ouput voltage and 100mA output curent. beacuse I want to cut dwon the pass element in order to reduce the chip size, how to keep the 100mA output current?

thanks!

what is the pass element you used in the LDO? And, BJT or MOS?

Do you have to have the pass element on-chip? If not, you can just provide a pin to drive an external pass transistor. This pin would provide base current (for BJT pass) or gate voltage (for a FET pass).

If you embeded the PMOS on your chip , You must have margin for your design , The Pass componet , Like PMOS must have 200mA ~300mA cability .
