How to improve ICD2 clone speed?

ICD2 Clone speed

I build ICD2 clone and works OK. Thanks to you guys that give us that solution, but it's to slow. How can we improve that?
Only USB is the answer?

Hi,

to the best of my knowloage only USB will be faster.
From the real ICD2 sold by microchip, the USB connection is much faster then the serial.

There are any chances to speed up software in MPLAB to 115k and in bootloader?
Maybe someone know how MPLAB talks to ICD2 then is possible to change original MPLAB code and with a dissassembler change original hex files...

Hi,

I can tell you that i wrote a bootloader for a PIC that can work with 115K, the problem was that i had to implament a large buffer 120 bytes over 2 banks and also had to fit my code to work with x-modem protocol. It took some time but it works...
Any way, for the ICD2 you the bootloader is not your problem, but when you upload your code and also when you debug the PIC.
Again, I dont hae the code for the ICD2 PIC and it will take more timeto fix it then to build/buy one. There are so may on the market taht you can find, that im sure one will fit your boudget...
