How to get the I Q components of a digital square ,sinc wave signal in QAM ?

Now, the IF signal is square wave or sinc wave. i want to use QAM to modulate the IF signal, the I and Q components of IF wave should be calculated for IQ QAM modulation. But i do not know how to acquire the I Q components of square wave signal.

Any suggestions ?

thanks !
