How to find the maximum DC current of this inductor

Obviously, the datasheet specification must be considered as valid.

I guess, the problem is that you don't understand the difference between Isat and Irms?

Hi,

1.3A RMS. If you have DC current then this is the limit because of power dissipation in the coil windings (heating)

1.4A SAT is the limit where the inductance drops 10% of the typical inductance because of saturation of the core material.

Hope this helps
