How to find out the execution time of an algorithm in Matlab?

Hi,
How can i possibly find how match time does an algorithm in matlab needs to be executed?
 

execution time

Try the 'profile' function. MATLAB Help says, "the profile function helps you debug and optimize M-files by tracking their execution time ..."
