How to export XFDTD results to Matlab?

hi,

does anybody knows how to export xfdtd results (time domain fields for example) to matlab. or the file format used by xfdtd to write the files?

xfdtd example

You can access the .fld file directly in the program folder.

Exucese me what is this program about how much can it solve our problems I heard first time could you explain please

you need to know the file format. Pls read XFDTD reference manual (included in software).


I recommend you to use Ms. Excel and Dplot programs for XFDTD data processing. First, you need to read about file format.

Then use Excel to open file *.g0 (for time domain fields), then delete some header lines. After that use Dplot to display it.

Dplot trial is available for free. Check www.Dplot.com.
