Hello,
Everyone, recently I had designed an operational amplifier , but i dont know if its performance is what I want . I want to know how to simulate its perforamce parameters such as unit gain, dc gain, open loop gain, phase margin, gain bandwidth product and noise evaluation and so on.

any one can tell me how to do that in details? at best tutorials or manual.

thanks in advance.

Hi,

You can refer to the book "CMOS Analog Circuit Design" by Phillip E. Allen & Douglas R.Holberg. This book teach you both the teory and practical way on measuring the opamp. Besides that. there are many journals and articles on internet regarding opamp, u can simply search them in google.

Regards,
Suria3.

How about differential amp. analysis...can it use the same method?

to nathan,

i dont have attached presentation from candece, where to find it?

thx.

You can find a OP DataSheet and compare the detail on you design

to nathan,

hello,

i have just looked at the your attached file, but i dont find the shematic of OPA.

thx.

Check Philips Allen's book , you can find those techniques. No matter
in simulation or measurement.

samuel, the described approach applies to all fully differential OPA, they use the generic OPA symbol in the presentation. You can substitute your schematic to the symbol one or create the symbol view from your schematic (clearly you need to have Cadence installed somewhere :) )

nathan,

hello, what is cmref in your attached file?

thx.

Philips Allen's book is a good reference for you. I learned how to simulate opamp from this book

thx.

where to find it? philips Allen's book.

hello
you can read "OP Amps For Every One" By 'Ron Mancini' from Texas Intrument.

and if you don't have this book you can find it at internet easily.

i think that i had downloaded this file from:
