bottom boot flash

hi,

is there a way to detect whether a flash is top boot or bottom boot by communicating with the flash? i mean, i need to write a firmware to the flash, but first i need to detect whether it is top boot or bottom boot, then i arrange my flash block sizes accordingly. On the software, i first need to get whether it is top or bottom.

any kind of help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

what is top boot and bottom boot in flash

Take a look at the datasheet. Top- or bottom-boot flashs usually have different
device IDs. So you just read manufacturer and ID and know which device it is.
