how to detect non-rechargeable batteries

Hi,

How do we actually detect rechargeable batteries from NON-rechargeable batteries ?

My focus will be AA size batteries (NiMH, NiCD, Enegizer Photo Lithium and Enegizer Alkaline).

In order to implement a dT/dt fast charge termination, where would you place a thermistor ? which part of the body (e.g. positive terminal, negative terminal or the middle of the AA size battery) ?

Any links or ebook will be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks

Cheers,

Almost the rechargeable batteries will mark with type of cemial that it used. The Ni-Cd Mi-Mh Li-Ion or lid asid type can recharge back other non

you should place thermistor near the battery. Temperature control is more important for Li-Ion than Mi-Mh and Ni-Cd.
