Dear all,

I have designed a microstrip passive structure which operated correctly until I put it in a metal enclosure. After that, some frequency response parameters where affected (some of them presented frequency selective fadings).

The question is how to design an enclosure so us not to disturb the circuit. Advice? paper? book?

Thanks.

You can glue a piece of ECCOSORB Cavity Resonance Absorber to the inside of the enclosure cover lid.

Go to the following link:
hXXp://www.rfmicrowave.it/pdf/varie_3.pdf

At page R1 is written how to reduce the self resonance of the boxes; There is also an article on VHF communications, tomorrow I will scan it and upload.
