How Do I make a temperature sensor out of a TO92-3 package (in my case an LM35)

See picture

hi, d81,
As you know the LM35 will give you 10mV/Cdeg from approx +2C thru 150Cdeg.

How do you want to display the temperature.?

The electronics is not so important. I'm using an electric imp, and it's working fine on the breadboard. I am unsure how to construct the wire and all that stuff. It's so tiny i can't get my hands on this chip and solder it.... or?

And if you have available a negative voltage and a resistor, values below 0 Celsius can also be accommodated.
Check the data sheet.

I don't quite understand. You are concerned about soldering to the leads on the TO-92 package? You certainly can't solder to the chip inside the package. If you want it to look similar to your picture on the right then you can wire to the package. Then use shrink-fit tubing on the leads and over the package to give isolation and protection.
