what is the frq of sawtooth? and whats the DC load?

HI,
Please help me to convert sawtooth waveform of 2 v to pure DC....

Hi siddarth.ghaste
What kind of saw tooth wave ? has it any DC component ? or perhaps it is completely simultaneous ?
Can you show me your wave ? and as " jpsganesh " mentioned frequency and load are important too .
Best Wishes
Goldsmith

I might go with a series schottky diode with a low Vf and a shunt 1 uF ceramic capacitor.

here is the basic circuit for converting sawtooth wave to dc

Thanks for your help.....I am converting sine wave frequency to voltage using 2917 IC. But output is not constant(it is sawtooth). I increased capacitor value, ripple vanished but response is very slow. And some times output degrades slowly. Please help me to convert frequency to pure DC voltage.

You should use a high impedance load to the capacitor, maybe and op amp voltage follower. Then you can use a small capacitor and not see any ripple.

u can go with the method used to convert Halleffect AC current sensor o/p to DC conversion.

Some readymade IC can do this RMS voltage to DC voltage level conversion

HI,
I am converting Frequency to voltage. But when turns off and turns on then It shows different voltage for same frequency. How to handle this .Please help.
