how to find snr

How to convert signal to noise ratio in terms of bit to signal to noise ratio in terms of symbol?

Re: How to find SNR?

Divide the SNR in symbol by the bits per symbol.

Re: How to find SNR?

Hi cwjcwjcwj

I suppose you want to relate Eb/No with Ps/Pn (signal-to noise ratio).

Eb = Ps/Tb = Ps*BR
No = Pn/BW

where

Tb = bit time
BR = bit rate [bps]
BW = noise bandwidth over which the noise power is measured

Then............ Eb/No = (Ps/Pn)*Tb*BW
