In some systems where there exist several power sources , it is required that some powers are up before the others.I know one approach.if one power must be up before the ohters , we can use it gererate the other power through DC-DC. But are there other ways?

Another option is to install at the output of each power supply a ralay (standard, solid state, transistor switch, etc) which will activate the next stage. In this situation they will be up in the proper sequence ..

In microcontroller situation you can use microcontroller pins as reset signal to other circuits and use the microcontroller reset as the master reset. In the software you write time delay routins for each pin and they will wake up other devices in a pre-programmed sequence ..

Hello

Here is a simple link show you how to do supply sequencing using the msp43o

Lattice has a perfect solution for power-up sequence and shut-down sequence. You could control the time between several powers and even the skew.

You could use a P mosfet as a switch between vin (source) and vout (drain), the gate should be vin delayed by an RC network.
