hI;

I need to conrtroller a printer through a microcontroller.
Well, I don't know how !. What I know is that the printer should be colored. I will later integrate it to a machine. and I think I will use a PIC, since I know how to program one.

Can any one suggest a good printer with a nice documentation. And a nice summary of what should I do to finish this 'imposssible mission'.

Any help is so appreciated.

Re: printer to MCU

The PICs no have POWER to drive the printer for own.
The PICs can get SERIAL COMM and then carry to Parallel PRINTER PORT
The PICs can get Parallel PORT and then carry to SERIAL COMM or any.

The PICs can emulate any controller for jog the printer.

Tell me what you have like input device for drive the printer and what you like to do with this .
