Hi
I want to connect power and ground rings to pins in Silicon Ensemble. Is it possible to route it manually? I mean, can I select a pin and connect it to the power ring?
Thanks

Re: How to connect a pin to a power ring in Silicon Ensemble

You can route any pins manually. You also can connect any pins to the power or ground rings if you specify it in the netlist. If you mean something else, please let me know what you mean exactly.

Regards,
KH

That's exactly what I want. I want to connect a pin to the ground or power ring. And I want to route it with a width of 5 um, not 0.5 um.
Can you help me, please? How can I route manually?
Thanks

In the layout editor, select Metal1 (metal2) and connect your pin to the approciate ring. Maybe you see lots of views in the layout editor, but notice that all of them will be flatten to actual layer when you generate GDSII file. If you want to have 5um width in the pin connection, you should have greater than 10um in the ring, because of avoiding current problems.

KH
